Built for Battle Since 1967

Suplay was founded by Gary Frey, a Hall of Fame coach and lifelong champion of amateur folkstyle wrestling. For decades, he served as a coach, official, tournament manager, and parent and was even inducted into the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame in 1987.  Gary has always given back to the sport he loved at every level. In 1967, he created Suplay Products to make sure wrestlers had access to the gear they needed, at an affordable price, and he built a company rooted in the same passion and resilience that defined his life on the mat.  Suplay was Built for Battle from day one. 

I’m Shayne Jasper, Gary’s grandson and the current owner of Suplay. I grew up watching the impact wrestling had on my grandfather, on his athletes, on myself as a wrestler, and on our family. When he passed, I made it my mission to carry forward his legacy — not just preserving Suplay’s history, but rebuilding it for a new generation of wrestlers.

Today, Suplay is still committed to the same mission my grandfather wrote decades ago: delivering the best wrestling equipment at fair prices and investing in the growth of the sport. But we’re also pushing further — launching new product lines, building modern team stores, and creating gear that reflects the warrior spirit of wrestling.
